The PPC 6700 with Sprint is my first mobile device, so I'm completely clueless on this stuff. I thought I was pretty adapt with PCs, but for the life of me I can't figure out why my Outlook contacts won't transfer over to my PPC 6700.
The email and calender went over without a problem, but I can't get my contacts over there. I am getting a support code of 86000108 - but I have no idea what that means. I've searched the help menu, the web and this site, I just can't find anything. Why would email and calender move over, but not contacts. The strange thing is that there is a check mark next to contacts in the AS 4.0 window as if it worked, but there is nothing in it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got Outlook 2002 on my PC.
been there - I've done soft reset and hard reset many times, no luck. I've been working on this problem for three days. I've restarted the PC, reset the PPC, downloaded Windows SP2... everything works great, but contacts won't move over to the device. I am probably missing someting totally obvious, but at this point, I just can't identify what I'm missing.
My 6700 syncs with my laptop just fine except for my contacts and calendar. I have microsoft office 2003, its the trial version so I don't know if that makes a diffence. Its $149 to upgrade it. Any ideas or is there some other software I can you to sync with?
i got a error message that the contacts and calendar could not sync. I have all my contacts and calendar info program in my 6700, but wanted to back it up . now when I sync evrything seems fine but, nothing is in microsoft office 2003 when I go in there to look on my laptop.

Hello and welcome to pdaphonehome.com, I see you are new here. In general, it is a good idea to do a search before starting a new thread as often times, your question will have already been extensively discussed (especially newbie questions). By doing a search first, you not only get your answer quciker, but you help to keep redundant threads to a minimum.
However, since you are new here, I will perform the search for you this one time. By searching for "cannot sync contacts," I have located this current thread and merged the thread you created with it. I hope you find this information useful and once again, welcome to pdaphonehome.com.
I have, however, experienced a similar issue with a Dell Axim in the past, and was able to determine that an Office update had screwed things up. I had to do a full uninstall of Office 2003, reboot, then do a full install of Office 2003 followed by all the updates from officeupdate.microsoft.com
It might help, though I expect you'll have some issues since you only have the 60 day trial, and likely don't have reinstallation media.
I'm sure my problem is because I have a trial version of microsoft office. Is there other software I can use on my desktop to sync my contacts, calendar with? I just spend $500 6700 I don't want to spend another $150 on microsoft office upgrade.
