It took me a bit to figure this out. What I did is first visit your favorite website that supports RSS feeds. When you click on the XML logo it will open and show you source codes. All you need is the address URL (Example:http://rss.cnn.com/rss/cnn_topstories.rss) at which point in Egress you go to TOOLS:MANAGE CHANNELS. There you can create new folders or new channels.

When creating a channel (Assuming you already have the RSS link) select "Enter the URL of the channel". Type or paste the URL and vwala. You have now added your new RSS feed.

Hope this helps and didnt lose you.

Thank you very much. I will give both Egress and your instructions a try. I'll post further if I have any other questions, but you made it seem easy enough.

Thanks again.

I don't know how to find the url to put in for the rss feed.

I want the cell phone one on this site: http://www.cnet.com/4520-6022_1-5115040-1.html

I know to click on the orange XML, but how do I get the info I need to setup the rss?

When I clicked on XML logo nex to CellPhones it opens the source code. The URL it opens is

http://reviews.cnet.com/4534-10921_7...=Cell%20phones

Pretty long but thats what you will type for your new channel.

Oh ok! I think I understand now. Just click on the XML link and whatever url it gives me in my web browser's address bar is what I want to use?

Thank you!!! I got it to work wonderfully. I love Egress so far and if it doesn't drain my battery I will be purchasing it after the 30 day eval.

By the way how is the battery life since you installed Egress?

I have it set to refresh and pull new data every hour, but since this morning it did not. I have had to manually do it. I have been in a perfect reception area all day as well. Is there any other setting I am missing.

What is with the caching? I don't get what it is doing with this.
The last time I manual pulled it said the caches were full on each of my 6 sites. It still pulled, but it put some stuff in queue. What do I need to do to make it work properly according to how I want. I want it to auto pull every hour and refresh on its own so I have new data automatically for me to see whenever.

My bad on the delay people; trying to FIND time to SLEEP.

I found a way to change the theme colors and soft buttons while minimally impacting your operating RAM. You'll need...
1. SoftKeyAppletEx.zip

2. TdyScheme Changer

Please note that this combination won't give you the glass or beveled effect on the bottom bar; TdyScheme Changer only changes COLORS plus allows you to set Background and/ Start Menu images.

I've been using the soft buttons app since my last post and it gives me no problems at all. I haven't really dug into the Changer yet. All the reviews I've seen so far are favorable.

Add this to that bunch too:

3. SysColor: Change most of the system colors (still in development so not all the changes affect WM5) Works well.

Err...

a) it was released AFTER TdyScheme

b) they do different things

c) I use both and have been since they came out

Reading the post helps :

TdyScheme Changer is for changing today scheme colors, i.e. those colors that can also be set in themes. SysColor Changer, on the other hand, is for setting system wide colors which will remain the same even after u change themes.

Here is mine...

Still doing some tweaking but so far I think I've gotten it down to where it works for me. I did finally manage to install a little proggie that displays JUST my time on the top right coner and I've managed to hack my registry to show the old battery icon again. The new battery icon and the volume control are hidden under the time but that's okay by me because I rarely mess with them. The time shows consistently across all applications and screens.

I think I finally have it....

Well I figured what the hell I will post mine and see what people think...

I'm also currently working on an alienware WA2 theme that is promising to be sweet. Just need a few more tweaks of some images. I'll post that when i have a little more usable version.
