One button voice memo

One feature on the i500 I love is the voice memo. I would use it all the time given the chance; I commute a great deal (1.5 hours one way) and I get a lot of random thoughts and ideas I like to notate while I'm driving.

There is only one catch: the voice memo is a little clunky to use while driving. I configured the application to turn on using one of the hard buttons which makes it a little more doable, but it still needs to be activated by tapping a few icons using the touch screen. This is problematic at best since I like to keep my eyes on the road while fighting commuter traffic. (Boston traffic is brutal)

So to keep my eyes on the road so to keep safe, I'm looking for recording a Voice Memo on my samsung that turns on by just simply pressing a button and recording my message after hearing a beep. No extra touch screening to either title my memo, start the memo, pause the memo, save the memo after I'm finished, etc. Just click, hold, record, and stop.

I'm not holding my breath on this one; but is there anyone out there who has the same vision I do and found a solution? Perhaps another voice memo program that is compatible with a palm os?

Thanks in advance!

Jon

In case you don't know, you can hold the voice memo button on the right bottom button for 2 seconds and it will go right into record.

Pausing and stopping unfortunately, need to be done via the screen.

I use this function a lot while driving too (although trying not to be one of "those" people). One way to hit "stop" without having to look at the screen is simply click the clam shut. When you do that, the recording stops. Then I simply open the clam and press and hold the record button. Repeat until done. That way you can record a bunch of memos and still keep your eye on the road. Drive safe!
